About this tour
The Balkans hold the oldest continuously established Muslim communities in Europe. Ottoman rule left mosques, bridges, bazaars and hammams across the peninsula, and in Bosnia, Albania and Kosovo the communities that built them are still there.
We begin in Sarajevo, the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, the old Baščaršija bazaar, and a city whose recent history is impossible to walk past. Mostar and its rebuilt bridge follow, then the Adriatic coast through Croatia and Montenegro.
The last stretch turns inland to Albania and Kosovo, where the Ottoman towns of Berat and Gjirokastër and the mosques of Prizren are still comparatively unvisited.

Before you book
- Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the return date.
- Prices are based on a minimum of 10 adults travelling. Below that number a surcharge may apply.
