Scandinavia in early June gets close to twenty hours of daylight, which changes how a tour can be planned. Days stretch, the light stays soft late into the evening, and there is time to sit by the water after dinner rather than rushing back to a hotel in the dark.
We begin in Copenhagen and work north and west into Norway, Oslo, the Flåm railway, and the fjord country around Bergen. The scenery does the heavy lifting here, so the itinerary is deliberately light on museums and heavy on time outdoors.
Both countries have established Muslim communities and good halal options in the cities. Prayer facilities in the smaller fjord towns are limited, so our tour leader plans stops around the day's prayers.
This day-by-day plan is indicative and shows how the tour is usually structured. The confirmed itinerary is sent with your booking and may differ in the order of days.
Overnight flight to Copenhagen.
Airport transfer and check-in, with the evening free.
Nyhavn, Amalienborg and the Danish royal quarter, with a canal cruise in the afternoon.
North to the Norwegian capital.
The Viking Ship Museum, Vigeland sculpture park and the Holmenkollen ridge above the city.
The Bergen railway across the Hardangervidda plateau, then the descent on the Flåm line.
A fjord cruise on the Nærøyfjord before continuing to Bergen.
The Bryggen wharf, the fish market and the funicular up Mount Fløyen.
A full day in the orchards and waterfalls of the Hardanger region.
Return flight to Copenhagen and a final evening.
Transfer to the airport.
