About this tour
Islam reached Morocco in 680 CE, and crossed the Strait into the Iberian peninsula three decades later. This tour follows that crossing in the right order: first the Moroccan cities the movement came from, then the Andalusi cities it built.
In Morocco we take in Casablanca, Marrakech, Rabat and Tangier. Then a fast ferry carries us over to Tarifa in about forty-five minutes, and we continue through Seville, Cordoba and Granada, the Mezquita, Medinat Azahara and the Alhambra, before finishing in Madrid by way of Toledo.
The group travels with an English-speaking Muslim guide throughout, and we eat at halal restaurants for the whole trip on both sides of the water.
